Every game is just like that, WoW for example even with booster you still need to level up 10 levels in which need more XP than the previous , I used WoW for example as one the most successful games in the market not as similar gameplay, but they share some similarities. Yeah leveling is boring, but trust me, using powerfull leveling uniques will make it a lot better close to fun stuff, except act 10, fuck act But it's different, you start at level 90 but you can access every endgame content right away, so you can just finish the remaining 10 levels while playing dungeons instead of the story you already completed X times.
If going to caster type of build there are other options life lifesprig lvl 1 and some other good wands like Abberath horn, Storm prison, Poet Pen etc that will boost a lot at early level in which you don't have many gem options.

Check out for good leveling strategy guides too, in youtube in less than 10 minutes you can find a lot of cool ideas. Why fuck act 10?
I find acts my favorite part, they are super easy and amazingly fast. Not to mention by that point your character is really juiced and crushing stuff. It really is the grind that kills me every time. Ahhh that is fair, it doesn't affect my computer much, but I know it hurts others.
From a pure time standpoint I would say I can finish the first 2 acts in an hour or so and maybe 90 minutes for the last three, but the middle just makes me sad Outside of investing to do only bosses its repeating the same content, maps, for hours to add what to gameplay? Yeah this league is a bit harder to get it, only through div cards but right now there are none in poetrade Get it done and over with. Yeah I have gotten it down to about that time as well, but its still 7 hours that I would love to spend doing literally anything else.
I wouldn't even mind the leveling part, it is just being forced to do the story that is annoying. For example D3 I don't mind leveling doing rifts or bounties to level, but if I had to do the campaign more than once I would be super frustrated. I don't want a "get to level button", I'd like to have the chance to skip the story and start from there.

I feel your pain OP. Im usually playing every league from day 1 but this time I just couldnt get myself to do all the acts again, the repetition was agonizing. Now 1 month later my burnout is fading away and I finally started playing the league. Still have a bitter taste in my mouth but its going good so far. I understand OP frustration but it just doesn't make sense it terms of investment hours on a character in this game.
If you don't get excitement through the story of being able to play the build your working on and don't enjoy progression of it and just want o hey I'm at endgame let me buy gear and go then aarpg's aren't the genre for you. I'd really enjoy trying different builds because this game offers almost countless possibilities. How cool would it be to be able to test new builds without needing to replay the entire story?

It is less a problem with ono-goroshi and poet's pen now, but still annoying.
What Is a Skip-Level Manager?
You can do that in a weekend day. I don't think we need the equivalent to Gem of Ease, but some sort of help would be nice: Exactly what I'm trying to say. Senior level managers call these types of meetings to learn as much as they can from the perspective of the lower level employee. In some cases, they may wish to learn about the effectiveness of mid-level managers and supervisors.
Skip-level meetings provide employees with the opportunity to speak freely and voice their opinions. Conducting skip-level meetings requires advanced planning. Since skip-level meetings are effective because they provide upper-level managers with information normally not available to them, planning is especially important -- and those executives planning a meeting need to establish a specific purpose.
For example, if you plan a meeting to specifically discuss managerial effectiveness as perceived by employees, you have to make sure that no one gets off track, and that the established topic remains the focal point.
The Skip Level Meeting: A comprehensive guide to Skip Level 1 on 1s
Skip-level meetings should not be used as an opportunity to conduct a witch-hunt against mid-level managers. Doing so could cause problems between those managers and the employees they supervise, potentially causing managers to treat employees differently or find other ways to intimidate them. Be open and upfront about conducting skip-level meetings. If you're not, you risk creating unnecessary tension between your team members. Purpose The primary purpose of the skip-level meeting is to determine the organization's effectiveness by getting an honest assessment from employees, especially those at the rank-and-file level.
